Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. Her work has been recognized for television and in film from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett grew up living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett along with her mother and sister relocated into St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. Their father had separated from their mom. Bassett was in high school when she watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck production Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of being an actor had been realized. When she graduated at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned a Bachelor's Degree with a major in African American Studies, she went on to earn an MA (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. at Yale's School of Drama. awarded a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year 1980. She attended the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for the 8th and 9th grade in addition to Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda for the action adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
